Just Zilch
Roll six dice, keep the ones that score, then decide: roll again for a bigger turn, or bank your points before your luck runs out. Six game modes, solo, against the bots or online.
The game
Zilch is the dice game where every roll is a gamble. Score nothing on a roll and you zilch: the whole turn disappears. First to the target score wins, and three zilches in a row cost you 500 points, so knowing when to stop matters as much as knowing when to roll.
You may know it as 10000, Greed or Zonk: the same six dice and the same risk under a different name.
How to play
- Each 1 scores 100 points and each 5 scores 50.
- Three, four, five and six of a kind, straights and three pairs all score big.
- Set aside at least one scoring die on every roll, then push your luck or bank (300 points minimum).
- Score with all six dice and you get a free roll, with your points riding along.
- Roll no scoring dice at all and you zilch.
Six game modes
Pick one with Game mode on the home screen. Every mode plays solo and against 1 to 3 bots, except Teams, which is always two against two, and every mode except Teams is also an online format.
- Classic: the rules above: bank 300 or more, and three zilches in a row cost 500.
- Speed: 10 seconds for every roll; run out and it counts as a zilch.
- Teams: you and a bot partner against two bots, your two scores added up.
- High Stakes: bank 500 or more, and three zilches in a row cost 1,000.
- Opening 1,000: nothing counts until you bank a turn of 1,000.
- Combos: set aside a big set and your turn counts double; two big sets count triple.
Ways to play
- Solo: chase your own record for the fewest rounds to win.
- Versus bots: take on 1 to 3 opponents, each set to Easy, Normal or Hard.
- Online: turn-based matches in every mode except Teams. Post an open challenge in the mode you pick, or accept one, then play your turn whenever it suits you: five rounds each, 24 hours per turn.
- Top players: a shared leaderboard of wins, losses and win rate.
Features
- Choose your target score: 5,000, 10,000 or 15,000.
- A final round when someone reaches the target: everyone gets one last chance.
- Detailed statistics: best turn, free rolls, zilches, penalties and win rate, and a record for every game mode.
- Solo and bot games work without a connection.
- Optional Google sign-in backs up your statistics and settings.
- Three free games every day, shared by every game mode and online matches; after that a short ad unlocks the next one, and an optional one-time purchase removes ads for good.
Privacy and your data
Solo and bot games keep everything on your phone. Online play stores a player profile with your chosen name and your record, which other players can see. Signing in with Google is optional.
